Odessa Opera Theater Virtual Tour


The first Odessa theater was build by Tom DeTomon in the beginning of XIX century. At the beginning there weren't any actors who would play at the theater on a regular basis. People would come for some time and then leave. Very common guests at the theater were Italian singers. After great Odessa fire at the end of the same century theater was gone. If you look at this picture you can see how this building looked after the fire.

The new theater was build in 1887. (Architects are F. Felner and G. Gelmer). This theater is the second most beautiful theater in Europe after Vienna theater. We would like to invite you to go around the beautiful building and see its beauty for yourself. Right in the front of the theater you would see two monuments. Please take a look at one of them, and now the other one. Outside the theater has beautiful lights all around it. And here is one more view of outside of the building.
